بعد از دهه‌های جنگ، افغانستان بسوی یک آیندۀ امن‌تر، باثبات‌تر، و مرفه‌تری در حرکت است. با وصف دست‌آوردهای چشمگیری که از سال 2002 بدین‌سو کسب گردیده است، افغانستان بازهم با چالش‌های فراوان توسعه‌ای که با همه‌گیری کوید-19 شدیدتر شده اند، روبرو است. درحالیکه مذاکرات شکنندۀ صلح بین حکومت و طالبان جریان دارد، مشارکت پایدار ایالات متحدۀ امریکا با مردم افغانستان در نظر دارد تا یک کشور همه‌شمول و خودکفأ را که هیچ یک از شهروندانش را محروم نمی‌گذارد، بوجود آورد.
After decades of war, Afghanistan is moving toward a more secure, stable, and prosperous future. Despite significant gains made since 2002, Afghanistan faces numerous development challenges that are exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. As fragile peace negotiations continue between the government and the Taliban, the United States’ enduring partnership with the people of Afghanistan aims to forge an inclusive, self-reliant country that leaves no one behind.
The United States congratulates Afghanistan on the successful arrival of 468,000 doses of the COVISHIELD vaccine, from the AstraZeneca Serum Institute, on March 8, 2021.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will support 29 agribusinesses, including five exhibiting for the first time, to showcase Afghanistan’s finest dried fruits, saffron, nuts, spices, honey, and juices at the exhibition from February 21 to 25.
